Now that's a frakkin' series finale
Not perfect... but terrific nonethless and rather poignant. I'm quite sad that BSG is gone but I'll be ruminating about it for years. Thank you Ron Moore et. al. for the best speculative fiction/sci-fi/genre series ever made.

What is it about BSG that I'm dodging spoilers from every direction?

That's a very slight one... don't worry.

I wasn't too worried, I didn't read the text, and without context it didn't really give anything away (I couldn't recognize the actor, and unless Dean Stockwell joins the cast will probably forget by the time I get to the finale), but I had seen some other posts on LJ and Facebook of people just going into more detailed discussions that I had to take care to ignore. I just hadn't seen that level of give away since the finale of Alf.

It was a bit heavy handed, but its not like the series thrived on subtlety.

I can't believe its over.

But for once, it was nice to see a story told to completion.

"Let's all just agree that anything we see is totally cool. We were just grooving to our Cylon tune. Right Chief? Chief?"

Yeah, thanks for the spoiler, Denys. You couldn't put that behind a cut or anything?

It's the sentient rape acid for you, me laddo.

Apparently that was totally Dean Stockwell's idea. In the original script they had him being killed by one of the cast. Stockwell called RDM after reading the script and told him if Cavil realized the gig was up and it was hopeless he'd just shoot himself and get it over with. Classy!!
